Forever a Princess
One of my series of the people of Nepal.
This child is not a poor street child, but rather her family make money by charging tourists for taking her photograph.
I love working in pastels for my figures and portraits as it creates a luminosity and an instant colour 'fix' which I don't get from other mediums.
I hope this conveys the stark sunlight at high altitude creating strong shadows and the little girl's concentrated sideways gaze.
A percentage of all my originals and prints of my Nepalese paintings is donated to help these people, who are still rebuilding after the 2015 earthquake.
As a personal favourite of mine, the original has remained 'not for sale', in my personal collection for some years and I am only now offering it as limited edition canvas prints

This is series of paintings to which I have a strong personal attachment, therefore the originals remain in my personal collection, though I am now making available a canvas print limited edition of #40.
